About the position

The Senior Risk Analyst and Tableau Developer position at Citi is a strategic role that requires a deep understanding of risk management and data analytics. This position is designed for a professional who is not only well-versed in the latest trends in risk management but also adept at applying these trends to enhance business operations. The role demands excellent communication skills, as the individual will need to negotiate and collaborate with senior-level stakeholders and external customers. The analyst will be accountable for significant business results and will provide authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business, necessitating a high degree of responsibility over technical strategy. The position primarily affects a sub-function within the organization and involves handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team or project. In this role, the analyst will support the development of the Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) by collaborating with risk and business stakeholders as well as IT teams. This includes defining business requirements and identifying data sources for various risk metrics such as stress exposure and sensitivity analysis across multiple risk pools, including wholesale, counterparty credit risk, retail, and market risk. The analyst will also document business requirements, develop tools and dashboards to support the Global Systematic Stress Testing program, and ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and quality. The position requires the design and development of Tableau-based visualization dashboards and tools to analyze risk exposures and stress losses. The analyst will manage project timelines, including development plans, milestones, and dependencies, while providing periodic updates to stakeholders and senior management. This role is critical in ensuring that the organization effectively manages its risk exposure and adheres to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) by working with risk and business stakeholders and IT teams to define business requirements and identify data sources.
  • Collaborate with risk/business stakeholders to document business requirements and develop relevant tools and dashboards for the Global Systematic Stress Testing program.
  • Create detailed project plans and timelines in collaboration with business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring project deliverables meet required standards.
  • Design and develop Tableau-based visualization dashboards/tools to analyze risk exposures and stress losses across risk pools.
  • Manage project timelines, including development plans, milestones, tasks, and dependencies, while providing periodic updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in the field of science, finance, or engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of working experience in management consulting or risk management with financial institutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of product and risk management across all risk pools including wholesale, retail, counterparty credit, and market risk.
  • Strong change management skills and capability to drive infrastructure/IT developments; familiar with software development methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and project management tools (e.g. Jira).
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing analytical tools, data visualization dashboards, and risk reports in Tableau.
  • Strong SQL skills and good knowledge of relational databases; familiar with big data and data warehousing concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with stress testing is a plus.
  • Strong users experience design skills with Tableau; excellent working experience with large data, complex calculations, and performance optimization in Tableau.
