About the position

As the Senior Manager of Technology (Infrastructure & Cyber Security) at McDonald's Australia, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic, technical, and team leadership across various technology domains including Infrastructure, Network, Cyber Security, Corporate Service Delivery, and Workplace Technology. This position requires you to work closely with business leaders and units to ensure that all initiatives and projects related to infrastructure and cyber security are effectively delivered, aligning with the overall business objectives. You will be responsible for managing high-performing teams that deliver critical projects and services, ensuring that the technology strategy is in sync with both global and local directives. Your role will involve owning the overall strategy for the technology portfolios, which includes aligning with the Technology Strategic Roadmap. You will partner with McDonald's global teams and external partners to implement global products and solutions, while also managing key local and global suppliers and contracts to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, you will take ownership of major technology incidents, ensuring that they are resolved efficiently and effectively. You will also be tasked with identifying and measuring key operational metrics, executing strategic plans for lifecycle management, and overseeing risk management functions on behalf of the Technology Team. In this leadership position, you will also be responsible for managing corporate and restaurant operational and capital expenditures, as well as talent and performance management for your team members in infrastructure and cyber security. Your success in this role will be driven by your ability to lead teams, manage vendor relationships, and execute strategic planning in the realms of infrastructure and cyber security.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the teams responsible for delivering projects, initiatives, and services across the Infrastructure, Network, Cyber Security, Corporate Service Delivery and Workplace Technology portfolios.
  • Owning the overall strategy for the Infrastructure, Network, Cyber Security, Corporate Service Delivery and Workplace Technology portfolios.
  • Partnering with McDonald's global team and partners on global products and solutions.
  • Managing key local and global suppliers and contracts to deliver required outcomes for McDonald's.
  • Owning major technology incidents across the infrastructure, network and cyber portfolios.
  • Identifying and measuring key operational metrics.
  • Owning and executing the strategic plan for life cycle management and maintenance across business and restaurant critical infrastructure.
  • Owning the risk management function on behalf of the Technology Team.
  • Managing corporate and restaurant operational and capital expenditure.
  • Talent and performance management for infrastructure and cyber security team members.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing a high performing team running critical infrastructure and services across the QSR industry.
  • Experience with vendor relationship management.
  • Financial and budget management skills.
  • Risk management experience.
  • Strategic planning experience in Infrastructure or Cyber Security.
  • Networking skills (Switching, Routing and Firewalls, Access Points) in a large-scale distributed environment.
  • Experience with Hosted Infrastructure, Virtualisation, Storage, up and Restoration.
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies - Azure and AWS.
  • Disaster Recovery expertise.
  • Experience with Patching MS Windows.
  • Knowledge of Privilege Access Management.
  • Experience with SIEM and SOAR.
  • Familiarity with Vulnerability Scanning, Penetration Testing, and Security Reviews.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOX and PCI-DSS.
  • Experience with Office 365 and Workspace technology such as laptops and meeting room technology.
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in cyber security.
  • Certifications in relevant technology areas (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
