About the position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager to join their Oklahoma City team. This role involves managing roadway design teams on various transportation projects, applying technical expertise and project management experience. The position includes responsibilities such as production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and financial management, while also serving as a mentor for team development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering design and project management tasks for transportation projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings with the project team, regulatory agencies, and clients.
  • Manage project production by tracking manhours, costs, and expenses, and communicate project status to senior management.
  • Identify new business opportunities in roadway and highway projects and participate in client presentations.
  • Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations and draft professional service agreements for review.
  • Prepare project work plans, scope, schedule, and budget, and monitor compliance with these objectives.
  • Undertake 'stretch' assignments to enhance project delivery.

Requirements

  • BS and/or MS in Civil Engineering.
  • 15+ years of engineering experience.
  • Highway/roadway design and project management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of Schematic and/or PS&E processes is required.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project financial management and team management skills.
  • Oklahoma DOT experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Tolls is a plus but not required.
  • State PE required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
