About the position

This role is a mission-critical engineering position focused on the integration of autonomy systems within the robotics stack at Pattern Labs. The position emphasizes logging, metrics, scalable architecture, efficient memory usage, and GPU algorithm optimization, requiring a broad science and engineering skillset. Candidates will work hands-on with advanced robotic systems and sensors in a dynamic development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate various components of the autonomy stack including logging and metrics.
  • Optimize GPU algorithms for performance and efficiency.
  • Develop scalable architecture for robotic systems.
  • Ensure efficient memory usage in software applications.
  • Test and validate code on robotic systems in a development facility.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience with complex robotic systems at production scale.
  • Proficiency in modern C++ programming.
  • Ability to implement clean and reliable code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hardware interaction and in-person testing of robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts in robotics.
