About the position

The Senior Sales and Operations Specialist at Cox Communications is a pivotal role focused on enhancing operational success within retail stores. This position involves managing inventory, loss prevention, merchandising, and ensuring efficient supply chain management. The specialist will also serve as a key resource for product knowledge and coaching, while occasionally taking on managerial duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate inventory through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and store audits.
  • Merchandise the store according to planogram and corporate guidelines.
  • Manage inventory, including store-to-store transfers, returns, and receiving.
  • Assist with special event execution, including marketing support and inventory planning.
  • Assess escalated wireless issues and provide solutions for technical problems.
  • Support post-purchase onboarding, device activation, and content transfers for wireless sales.
  • Reach out to customers for in-store pickup of online orders and manage return and exchange issues.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management for order fulfillment and variance requests.
  • Stay current with new products and technologies through necessary training.
  • Guide accessory performance and sales to meet store targets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to Solutions Specialists and serve as a product knowledge expert.
  • Open and close the store as needed, serving as manager on duty.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field, or any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED with up to 1 year of experience, or 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Previous experience with store operational duties is preferred.
  • Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is a plus.
  • Leadership experience is ideal.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to be mobile within the store to assist with troubleshooting and device activation.
  • Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory.
