About the position

The Senior Sales & Business Development Representative at Wolters Kluwer is responsible for driving new business growth within the Health Research division, specifically focusing on the Ovid Synthesis solution. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, developing comprehensive sales strategies, and executing plans to secure new contracts. The position emphasizes proactive lead generation, effective negotiation, and collaboration with the sales team to expand the client base and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with decision makers and influencers.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan for large key accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Ovid Sales Team to establish new sales at existing accounts.
  • Proactively seek out and identify potential clients and opportunities.
  • Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure alignment with target market and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to engage prospective clients.
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations and demonstrations.
  • Handle negotiations with prospective clients and guide them through the sales process.
  • Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of field sales experience.
  • Proven sales experience with a focus on acquiring new business and closing complex deals.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain a positive client experience.
  • Strategic mindset for developing and executing client attraction strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and passion for achieving sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the Hospital/Quality Improvement industry.
  • Experience negotiating with hospital leadership, IT, and Procurement.
  • Familiarity with CRM applications, particularly SalesForce.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the publishing/information industry.
  • Clinical market experience.
