About the position

The Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Convex is a pivotal role focused on identifying and qualifying sales opportunities within the SaaS sector. The SDR will engage in foundational training, develop sales skills, and contribute to the overall success of the sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities for the Convex sales organization.
  • Learn the Convex product and messaging thoroughly.
  • Utilize necessary tools for success and leverage learning opportunities.
  • Meet performance expectations and goals consistently to facilitate rapid career growth.
  • Build a strong foundation in product knowledge and the ecosystem around Convex.
  • Develop skills in qualification, relationship building, and communication.
  • Mentor new team members and assist them in their success.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of career experience, preferably with six months in B2B software sales.
  • Proven track record of top performance and exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain focused for long periods of time.
  • Skill in triaging competing priorities.
  • Experience in cold-calling and cold-emailing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with sales tools and CRM software.
