About the position

The Senior Sales Development Representative (Senior SDR) is a hybrid role responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers for PROS' software solutions. This position serves as the first point of contact with prospects, requiring a strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to build relationships with key influencers in target accounts. The Senior SDR will work closely with Executive Account Managers to nurture leads and facilitate the sales process, contributing to the overall success of the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Represent PROS software solutions and engage in discovery discussions with prospects to identify their needs.
  • Nurture relationships with the buying group at target accounts to generate sales opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and coordinate with sales executives for next steps.
  • Identify best practices and provide feedback to refine lead targeting and approach.
  • Build and sustain relationships with various personas across the buying group through phone, email, and social channels.
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing activities and conduct outbound outreach to target accounts.
  • Grow product and industry knowledge for personal and professional development.
  • Leverage sales technology and marketing tools for personalized outreach to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Identify prospects' needs and suggest appropriate software solutions to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market and set up meetings or calls between prospects and sales executives.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in a similar role for an enterprise corporation selling business-critical applications.
  • Experience in SaaS is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales technology, including Salesforce.com.
  • Proven sales expertise in B2B phone sales and lead nurturing for SaaS-based technology solutions.
  • Self-starter with experience in cold calling and building a pipeline.
  • Resourceful and pragmatic problem-solver with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to connect with senior-level decision-makers.
  • Industry knowledge or experience in target industries such as manufacturing, distribution, travel, transportation, logistics, and energy.
