About the position

The Senior Sales Development Specialist for Raman Process Spectroscopy is a fully remote role focused on market development and sales growth within process analysis environments. This position involves strategic planning, customer engagement, and collaboration with various teams to drive sales of Raman and NIR technologies, while also ensuring customer satisfaction and product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop short and long-term strategic and tactical plans for growth of process spectroscopy solutions in the region.
  • Drive commercial perfection through robust business development activities, including weekly sales calls and CRM utilization.
  • Engage with colleagues in Corporate Accounts and Customer Channel to collaborate and open doors to new opportunities.
  • Communicate bookings outlook to management and the broader organization for performance insights.
  • Support customers through technical and business presentations, tradeshows, and seminars.
  • Coordinate the improvement of product demonstration workflows and performance.
  • Develop trust and valued relationships with major decision makers in account organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in chemistry, biochemistry, or engineering.
  • Experience in Commercial Sales, Applications Support, or Business Development role.
  • Experience with Raman and/or Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, or FT-IR spectroscopy.
  • Confirmed experience with analytical scientific instrumentation and process analytical technology (PAT).
  • Familiarity with industries such as Bio-Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, and Academia.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Business/Account development.
  • Understanding of sophisticated capital equipment sales cycles.
  • Hands-on knowledge of RAMAN, NIR and/or FTIR Spectroscopy.
  • Experience with CRM utilization (e.g. SFDC).
