About the position

The Senior Sales Director at Infosys will focus on proactive new business development within the Metals, Mining, Chemicals, and Agriculture sectors. This role is pivotal in growing new enterprise accounts and requires a deep understanding of market dynamics to craft effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate will actively engage in developing value propositions and will be instrumental in positioning Infosys as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and close new deals in the Metals, Mining, Chemicals, and Agriculture sectors.
  • Serve as the face of Infosys to the market, positioning the company as an industry leader.
  • Leverage Infosys' ecosystem to develop solutions addressing client business problems.
  • Drive the development of platform solutions for Communications, Media, and Entertainment enterprises.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
  • 9+ years of experience with strong sales experience in the service industry.
  • Understanding of Global Delivery Model (offshore/outsourcing) and large deal experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant new business development experience selling IT services.
  • Proven track record of interacting and building relationships with CXOs of leading organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • History of achieving or overachieving sales targets.
  • Experience in software contract negotiations.
  • Experience with competitor mapping and SWOT analysis.
  • Ability to define specific and groundbreaking solutions within abstract environments.
  • Well-networked within the IT services industry, particularly in Metals, Mining, Chemicals, and Agriculture sectors.
