About the position

As a Senior Sales Engineer in the Automotive sector at Snowflake, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our cloud data platform among automotive clients. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, understand their unique challenges, and demonstrate how Snowflake's solutions can address their needs effectively. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that showcase the capabilities of our platform. Your technical expertise will be essential in articulating the value proposition of our products and ensuring that potential clients understand the benefits of transitioning to a cloud-based data solution. In this role, you will also be responsible for conducting technical workshops and training sessions for clients, helping them to maximize the value of their investment in Snowflake. You will work with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to provide feedback on customer needs and contribute to the continuous improvement of our offerings. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders will be crucial in establishing trust and credibility, ultimately leading to successful sales outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the automotive industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities. You should be comfortable discussing technical concepts with both technical and non-technical audiences, and possess excellent communication skills. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to manage your schedule while collaborating with teams across different locations.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with automotive clients to understand their data challenges and requirements.
  • Demonstrate Snowflake's cloud data platform through presentations and technical workshops.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategies for customer engagement and sales growth.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients during the sales process.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to product management and engineering teams for product improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients to help them utilize Snowflake's solutions effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical sales role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of cloud data platforms and data management solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
