About the position

The position involves managing pre-sales technical activities for the development and implementation of complex products, applications, and solutions tailored for the life sciences industry. The role requires a deep understanding of life science customers' quality management needs, with the ability to demonstrate a comprehensive eQMS platform that includes a suite of software solutions aimed at improving patient safety and maintaining regulatory compliance. The individual will collaborate closely with customers to support their harmonization and digital transformation efforts in Quality, Regulatory, and Safety domains. This is a remote position, but it includes travel to client sites as necessary. In this role, the individual will provide industry knowledge and advice to sales representatives, partners, and customers during the pre-sales process, focusing on quality and regulatory compliance to maximize the benefits derived from the organization's products and services. A solid understanding of regulations such as GxP, GMP, GCP, GLP, and ISO 13485 is essential, as these regulations drive compliance and decision-making for various life science divisions, including medical device and pharmaceutical companies. The responsibilities also include providing technical knowledge and support to sales representatives and customers during the pre-sales process, assisting in resolving technical issues, and ensuring that customers maximize the benefits of the organization's offerings. The individual will manage pre-sales technical activities, contribute technical input into bid proposals and projects, and may identify additional sales opportunities with existing customers. Developing detailed customer installation and system integration plans, overseeing technical support during sales presentations and product demonstrations, and potentially publishing technical articles are also part of the role. Collaboration with marketing and product managers to define new products and serving as a liaison on specific technical projects with customers are additional responsibilities. The position may also involve selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function, while adhering to consistent processes and sharing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-sales technical activities for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.
  • Provide industry knowledge and advice to sales representatives, partners, and customers during the pre-sales process.
  • Understand regulations such as GxP, GMP, GCP, GLP, and ISO 13485 that drive compliance and decision-making.
  • Provide technical knowledge, advice, and support to sales representatives, resellers, and customers during the pre-sales process.
  • Assist customers during the sales process to maximize the benefits derived from the organization's products and/or services.
  • Provide technical input into bid proposals, projects, and technical documents within the sales process.
  • Develop detailed customer installation and/or system integration plans.
  • Oversee pre-sale technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Publish technical articles regarding specific applications as needed.
  • Work with marketing and product managers to define new products.
  • Serve as a company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.
  • Provide product feasibility analysis in support of sales efforts with sales representatives.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience required, or Master's Degree with 6 years of experience required, or Ph.D. with 3 years of experience, or 8-12 years of field sales engineering experience.

Benefits

  • Potential base pay range of $88,100.00 - $146,900.00 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
