About the position

The Senior Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing customer and sales experiences at Difenda. This position involves a deep understanding of Difenda's services and the ability to communicate solutions effectively to both potential and current customers. The role includes supporting the C3 operations team through training and customer interactions, delivering demonstrations, and developing proposals and service agreements. The Senior Sales Engineer will also contribute to the service roadmap by capturing customer needs and maintaining technical certifications, all while leveraging their expertise in IT security and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Support customer interactions and educate customers on operational processes and technologies.
  • Deliver customer demonstrations for managed service offerings.
  • Develop high-level customer solutions and pricing.
  • Create Statement of Work (SOW) agreements and customer proposals, including RFP and RFI requests.
  • Develop sales artifacts such as slide decks and product quotes.
  • Manage technical partnership activities and obtain required certifications.
  • Stay informed of service offerings and enhancements.
  • Participate in service roadmap sessions and represent customer feedback in development activities.
  • Maintain industry certifications and training related to core technologies.
  • Provide marketing support through content development and webinars.
  • Present service updates to internal teams and support marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT security operations or related work experience.
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
  • Strong background in customer service and communications.
  • Experience in service delivery, including proposal development and RFx responses.
  • Strong understanding of IT Security processes such as Security Operations and Identity Management.
  • One or more security or technology-specific certifications required (e.g., Microsoft 365 Security Administration, CISSP).
  • Experience with IT Security Frameworks like SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Lean, Scrum, and Kanban.
