About the position

The Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in the sales process at HumanSignal, a growing startup focused on data labeling and machine learning. This position requires a blend of technical and business acumen to effectively communicate the value of the HumanSignal platform to potential customers. The Sales Engineer will work closely with Account Executives and other stakeholders to deliver compelling demos and Proof of Concepts, ultimately driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and deliver compelling and value-oriented demos and Proof of Concepts for potential customers.
  • Work closely with Account Executives and other stakeholders to close deals.
  • Create technical documentation, presentations, datasheets, and proposals as needed.
  • Attend sales calls, demos, and customer calls to gain insights about the HumanSignal platform.
  • Independently deliver demos, Proof of Concepts, and security reviews to potential customers.
  • Partner with Account Executives to meet revenue commitments through high conversion rates on demos and PoCs.
  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to identify and prioritize bugs and feature requests.
  • Develop processes, documents, and tools to improve the efficiency of the Sales Engineering organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a pre/post sales role as a sales engineer, solutions engineer, or solutions architect.
  • Comfortable delivering highly technical content to executives and engineers.
  • Strong mix of business and technical acumen to craft excellent value propositions.
  • Solid understanding of data labeling and its communication to an audience.
  • Familiarity with GenAI concepts and cloud technologies.
  • Previous experience in a Sales Engineering role for a highly technical SaaS product.
  • Solid presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage audiences and handle objections effectively.
  • Creative skills to improve documentation and marketing materials.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with team members and potential customers.
  • Track record of proactively building processes and systems to solve recurring problems.
