Eaton's North American Sales division is currently seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team in Rochester, NY. This position will focus on Eaton's legacy electrical products, which include panelboards, switchboards, industrial controls, and more. The role is designed for a driven sales professional who is eager to own the customer relationship and is committed to continuous learning and growth. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates outside of a 50-mile radius of Rochester, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with key customers and channel partners to enhance long-term business prospects. You will execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements, review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications, and prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines. Collaboration is key, as you will work cross-functionally with product lines, operations, and other internal stakeholders to provide customer-centric solutions. You will also need to be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities, communicating such information to product divisions. Additionally, you will assist teammates in training channels on Eaton products and electronic tools, collect and analyze market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences, and buying habits to drive data-based decisions. Providing accurate and timely planning and specification interpretation, quotation, and technical support will be essential. You will also plan promotional events and presentations with distributor personnel to promote Eaton's position while developing a proven record of achieving assigned sales goals.
