About the position

The Senior Sales Executive for Consumer Technology is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to manage a portfolio of accounts while maintaining strong relationships with customers. This role involves extensive travel and requires the candidate to reside in the Bay Area. The position focuses on promoting and selling UL products and services, driving the sales process from start to finish, and ensuring seamless service delivery post-sale.

Responsibilities

  • Plan sales strategy and maintain an ongoing plan to prioritize portfolio of accounts.
  • Interface with customers to promote and sell UL products and services.
  • Use technical credibility to build relationships with buyers and centers of influence.
  • Drive the sales process from beginning to end with minimal guidance.
  • Proactively manage customer relationships to ensure renewal of services.
  • Explore and develop opportunities to sell specialty products/services.
  • Establish connections with new logo prospects to qualify their needs and land new customers.
  • Engage in discovery, opportunity identification, proposals, and closing sales of core UL products and services.
  • Create a pipeline of new logo prospects to supplement existing account activities.
  • Bring in additional resources to support the sales process and delegate leadership of sales to Technical Inside Sales Executives when necessary.
  • Transition implementation to success/fulfillment teams after sales have been closed.
  • Support development of GAM and SAM multi-year account plans by providing insights on area of specialization.
  • Work with account managers on discovery and opportunity identification for assigned specialty products/services.
  • Provide expert input during the account planning process on potential growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or graduate degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of related sales experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Testing, Inspection and Certification portfolio.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
