About the position

The Senior Sales Manager at Hyatt is a key role responsible for driving sales and managing accounts within the hotel environment. This position requires a seasoned sales professional who excels in direct sales, account management, and customer service. The Senior Sales Manager will engage in selling guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other hotel services, while also preparing proposals and conducting site inspections. The role involves collaboration with the sales and catering teams and may include leadership responsibilities in assisting the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Responsibilities

• Sell guest rooms, meeting space, and other Hyatt services to customer groups.
• Manage accounts and conduct site inspections.
• Solicit and generate business through direct sales and marketing contacts.
• Prepare and present effective proposals to clients.
• Maintain organized documentation and reports using Hyatt systems.
• Coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate.
• Participate and may lead event meetings and sales staff meetings.
• Work closely with the sales and catering staff and support teams.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hotel sales experience.
• Proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Strong selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
