About the position

The Sales Manager serves as the primary sales contact for customers at the hotel, responsible for proactively soliciting and managing all revenue-related opportunities. This role focuses on maximizing revenue through upselling and achieving personal and team revenue goals while ensuring timely service delivery. The Sales Manager also builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, conducts site inspections, and effectively manages customer budgets to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and handle all revenue-related opportunities in sales.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by upselling business opportunities.
  • Achieve personal and team revenue goals for the hotel.
  • Ensure timely turnover of business for proper service delivery.
  • Identify revenue opportunities based on event profiles and market conditions.
  • Conduct customer site inspections and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries within 4 hours and close sales effectively.
  • Forecast group sleeping rooms and revenue accurately prior to turnover.
  • Create sales contracts and assist in financial management of the department.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience selling luxury brands and experiential services is preferred.
  • Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel systems like Delphi.
  • Strong customer development and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories.
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and event service operations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry selling luxury brands.
  • Knowledge of AV products and services at hotels.
  • Understanding of contract management and legalities.
