About the position

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst, Incentive Compensation, plays a crucial role within the Revenue Operations team at Genesys. This position focuses on enhancing sales effectiveness through detailed analyses, reporting on plan design performance, and cost modeling. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, or FP&A to drive strategic analytics priorities and collaborate with various teams to improve processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update processes critical to data accuracy for the reporting and tracking of compensation metrics.
  • Develop a world-class analytics platform that provides easy access to information.
  • Leverage metrics and data to provide insights into the effectiveness of specific programs and report progress against business objectives and budget.
  • Build analytical models for use in forecasting earned commissions, commission expense, and impact of sales plan design changes.
  • Partner cross-functionally to prepare analyses and develop fact-based recommendations for strategic decision-making and investment.
  • Provide analytical support to the design of incentive compensation structures for new and existing sales roles.
  • Establish a quarterly cadence for reporting of leading and lagging indicators of sales performance.
  • Model cost and impact of short-term incentives ("SPIFs"), track results and report on effectiveness.
  • Build executive-level presentations; crafting the messaging based on the intended audience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on business or accounting.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, or FP&A.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, financial budgeting tools, and other data systems, ideally including Incentive Compensation systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large volumes of data and identify trends.
  • Working knowledge of typical incentive compensation plan structures in enterprise software (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, and on-target earnings).
  • Experience designing and building complex financial models.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to consider cross-functional impacts.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in presenting to senior management.
  • Ability to perform in a high-demand, dynamic environment and manage to deadlines.
  • Strong team player with excellent business partnering skills, positive attitude, and good work ethic.
