About the position

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst - Strategy at Inspire Medical Systems plays a crucial role in providing data-driven insights to support the sales team in achieving their objectives. This position involves close collaboration with senior field sales leaders and requires a strong analytical mindset to monitor performance, manage sales forecasting, and analyze trends in sales and patient flow. The role offers significant exposure to senior management and requires cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic analyst and advisor to Regional Managers and Area Vice Presidents.
  • Closely monitor and highlight performance against quarterly and annual goals through sales reporting tools and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Advise and assist sales leadership in managing the quarterly sales forecasting process, identifying and quantifying forecast assumptions, and highlighting gaps.
  • Analyze sales and patient flow trends, establishing benchmarks for performance and regularly highlighting examples of both good and bad outcomes.
  • Allocate sales quotas based on knowledge of broader sales strategy and market dynamics.
  • Prepare informative presentations summarizing sales and patient flow trends, ensuring focus on trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Provide regular training to Zone VPs, Area VPs, and Regional Managers on utilizing existing sales reporting.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations counterparts on reporting design, optimization, and implementation based on feedback from sales leaders.
  • Conduct ad hoc data analysis to provide key insights and drive strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant business experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, and/or Finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to display the highest level of critical thinking to weigh alternatives and present solutions consistent with business strategy.
  • Previous experience clearly communicating and simplifying complex ideas and systems to leadership.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with the field in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Advanced level proficiency using Microsoft Excel (i.e., Pivots, VLOOKUPs, etc).

Nice-to-haves

  • Consumer-focused medical device industry experience.
  • Direct experience with Power BI for data visualization & data modeling (highly preferred).
