About the position

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst at Heritage Environmental Services plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sales organization. This position focuses on analyzing sales data, developing sales processes and tools, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, with a collaborative mindset to work across departments and drive positive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices.
  • Measure sales data and customer trends to evaluate growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales performance reports in partnership with the business.
  • Create and manage sales performance dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to support Sales team performance.
  • Manage and maintain accurate sales territory/customer assignments and develop new sales operations processes as needed.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the Commercial team to ensure alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
  • Provide training and support to the Sales team on tools and processes through effective communication.
  • Lead and manage projects related to Sales operations and strategy.
  • Assist with sales forecasting and planning to support goal setting and strategic initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in commercial sales operations and analysis techniques.
  • Mentor junior analysts to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Travel up to 15% as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience in sales, sales operations, or sales/financial planning, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, PowerBI, or similar tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
