Responsibilities

  • Critically analyze data gathered from different sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Drive the execution of the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our Salesforce platform.
  • Assist in training new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
  • Initiate, scope, and manage projects end to end with little oversight.
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, list imports, data cleansing, and other routine tasks.
  • Manage the Salesforce integration, licensing, sourcing, administration and training for all existing and new 3rd party tools.
  • Recommend best practices and customize Salesforce CPQ to support customer level reporting.
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
  • Initiate and propose recommendations for Salesforce process improvements that increase user efficiency.
  • Manage the Salesforce ticketing system to handle and prioritize requests.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests as needed.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and track key sales metrics (e.g. sales cycle length, win rate, quota attainment).
  • Support sales rep territory management and account assignment in Salesforce.
  • Own Salesforce data quality and governance and will be responsible for developing processes to improve and maintain data quality.
  • Proactively identify processes for checks and balances for data ingestion, independently surface data issues, identify root causes, recommend and implement solutions.
  • Manage de-duplication of account, contact, and opportunity data.
  • Support end of quarter close by conducting Salesforce audits to validate closed won requirements are met, ensuring the Opportunity data matches the contract, and partnering with Finance to reconcile Salesforce bookings with our billing system (Netsuite).
  • Lead efforts to improve quote-to-cash process efficiency to support revenue recognition.
  • Lead efforts in sales training and enablement.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Sales Operations and Salesforce Administration.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and the platform, with proficiency in permission sets, formula fields, flows, custom objects, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Strong data management abilities and experience managing data quality.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and excel (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFs, charts).
  • Experience in managing integrations between Salesforce and 3rd party applications.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage projects, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced environment and 'wearing many hats'.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ is required (CPQ certification is a plus).
  • Experience with Netsuite or a billing system is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing BI or data management tools (e.g. Clari, Power BI, DemandTools) is strongly preferred.
