About the position

The Senior Sales Operations Manager at Guardant Health plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Screening Core Commercial team has the necessary tools, resources, insights, and technology to effectively execute their roles. This position is integral to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the Screening Sales Organization, focusing on sales planning, effectiveness, insights and analytics, sales force automation, and customer master data management. The Sales Operations team is dedicated to enhancing sales force productivity and managing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, enabling Sales Force Automation and Administration (SFAA), and overseeing contract and phlebotomy operations. In this role, you will partner with sales teams to design and implement Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards that support maximizing sales force productivity. You will also be responsible for supporting ad-hoc analytics and reporting requests, ensuring that the sales organization maintains high levels of quality, accuracy, compliance, and process consistency in its planning efforts. Additionally, you will manage and support sales contract and phlebotomy operations, as well as support sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes within the Sales Screening Core organization. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work across cross-functional partners to achieve volume and revenue targets while improving efficiency. You will also manage the sales incentive compensation plan and perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the organization and its mission to conquer cancer globally.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and collaborate with sales to design and implement KPI dashboards that support maximizing sales force productivity.
  • Support any ad-hoc analytics and reporting requests.
  • Partner with IT to design and implement CRM and SFAA resources.
  • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, compliance, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts.
  • Manage and support sales contract and phlebotomy operations.
  • Support sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the Sales Screening Core organization.
  • Work collaboratively across cross-functional partners to support achievement of volume and revenue targets and to improve efficiency.
  • Manage sales incentive compensation plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales analytics and reporting experience for diagnostics, biotech, or pharma OR consulting for these industries.
  • Experience at a start-up is ideal.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities that provide actionable insights for sales leadership to maximize sales force productivity and inform how we build/optimize our tactical and strategic approach.
  • Success in partnering with IT to implement systems, and tools and drive change management with sales teams.
  • Must have experience with Salesforce.com CRM, Excel & PowerPoint (advanced), and territory mapping software (Alignstar or similar tool).
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Strong vendor management skills and ability to effectively manage budget.
  • Experience in executive communication, presentations, and written reports.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
  • Project management or Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  • Experience with ticketing software (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.) is a plus.
  • Advanced Degree/MBA preferred.
