About the position

As a Senior Sales System Engineer 2 at AT&T, you will play a crucial role in consulting with direct sales teams and customers, providing technical expertise in the design, customization, implementation, and account management of complex technical products and services. Your contributions will be vital to the unit sales plan through both pre-sales and post-sales technical consulting activities. You will be responsible for designing solutions and providing technical support during sales presentations, product demonstrations, and the installation and maintenance of company products, ensuring that systems function according to specifications. In this position, you will manage technical discussions in client meetings across various levels and disciplines, identifying business and technical needs, issues, and priorities. You will formulate responses to customer inquiries regarding complex system software and applications, offering software development and consultation to prospective users. Your role will also involve understanding, developing, and delivering products, services, systems, and solutions tailored to meet customers' business, information, technical, and educational needs. Additionally, you may build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate the feasibility of applications, often requiring rapid prototyping. A strong working knowledge of company products and services is essential, and you may also assist less experienced peers in their development.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • 5 - 8 years of direct work experience in a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of company products and services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with rapid prototyping and application development.
  • Familiarity with sales processes and customer relationship management.
