About the position

The Senior Salesforce Apex Developer at ADS will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Salesforce CRM platform. This position involves coding, unit testing, and developing applications while collaborating with various teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions. The developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of customizations and integrations, directly impacting the growth of Advanced Drainage Systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet with IT and business leaders to determine business, functional and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment
• Manage new and existing APEX code changes, bug fixes and new development
• Perform configuration and customization of the Salesforce platform
• Create and execute unit, integration and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data
• Gather, analyze and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users
• Willing to be hands-on in producing tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, status reports, project plans)
• Utilize best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce platform
• Proactively engage with salesforce architect(s) on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, salesforce releases, and practice development efforts
• Build Salesforce applications using Apex and Visualforce and leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform to support the company's programs
• Create/modify existing controllers, controller extensions, and triggers across all platforms
• Develop custom applications using Salesforce and integrating salesforce with other systems
• Lead customer-driven solutions utilizing strong technical design skills and strong working relationships with internal groups
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised processing analysis
• Develop, document and enforce application standards and procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years advanced experience with Apex, Visualforce and the Lightning Component Framework
• 5+ years advanced knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, etc.
• Experience with APIs, AI, DPE and integrations
• Ability to quickly identify root cause and recommend solutions and required next steps
• Experience working on an Agile development team
• Experience with Oracle, Mulesoft, and other tools that interface with Salesforce environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel as required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related technical field
• Force Certified Developer Certification required
• In-depth knowledge of APIs and experience building integrations with Salesforce
• Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
• Experience and expertise in core web technologies including HTML5, Javascript and jQuery
• Software engineering skills with Force Platform (Apex, VisualForce, SOQL, Unit Testing)
• A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
• Must demonstrate a willingness to put in the extra effort (extended work hours, participate in events outside of standard working hours)
• Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) application is a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without limitation
