About the position

The Senior Salesforce CPQ Developer will provide expert guidance on product modeling and CPQ best practices, develop and maintain technical product solutions within the CPQ environment, and lead the implementation of Salesforce CPQ. This role involves assessing current business processes, identifying opportunities for improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and ensure successful deployment and integration of Salesforce CPQ solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on product modeling and CPQ best practices
• Develop and maintain technical product solutions within the CPQ environment
• Assess current business processes, pain points, and future requirements
• Articulate how Salesforce and CPQ can address gaps and optimize processes
• Lead the implementation of Salesforce CPQ, ensuring successful deployment and integration
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions
• Review and evaluate technology options for achieving business objectives
• Research and stay updated on emerging technologies for potential business application
• Develop strategies to leverage new technologies effectively
• Manage shifting priorities and promptly address issues with professionalism
• Handle troubleshooting and error definition for technical solutions
• Maintain data tables containing available product options for accurate configurations
• Provide technical support for CPQ product solutions, assisting users with inquiries and issues
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and programmers to implement solutions
• Support QA/UAT and obtain approval for changes in both test and production environments
• Provide expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams regarding business application tools and architecture
• Work with senior business leaders to understand use cases and translate them into technical approaches within the Salesforce ecosystem
• Evaluate new tool/technologies and provide recommendations to IT leadership regarding their suitability for the organization
• Collaborate with product managers to comprehend option relationships for accurate CPQ tool setup
• Establish configurations, pricing models, discount structures, and quote templates within the Salesforce CPQ environment

Requirements

• Four (4) year degree, Advanced degree preferred
• Salesforce CPQ Specialist certified
• Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer certified
• Salesforce Advanced Platform Developer certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience on full lifecycle Salesforce CPQ project with strong implementation expertise
• 5+ years of experience in custom SF development utilizing LWC, Apex, Lightning Flows
• 4+ years of Salesforce experience including Sales cloud, Service cloud
• Expertise in Custom development with LWC, Apex, Lightning Flows
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues
• Strong understanding of Salesforce CPQ capabilities, best practices and limitations and the ability to clearly communicate those to key stakeholders
• Experience in Revenue cloud is preferred
