About the position

The Senior Salesforce Developer will play a crucial role in a national organization focused on supporting electric cooperatives. This fully remote contract position requires expertise in Salesforce development, release management, and integration with other systems. The developer will be responsible for adhering to best practices, maintaining documentation, and managing release cycles for applications and code updates.

Responsibilities

• Experience with release management, source control, and deployment technologies such as CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services.
• Experience with cross-cloud Salesforce (SFDC) implementations integrated with other cloud (Workday) and on-premise systems (Employee Benefits, AMS platform).
• Awareness of platform-specific design considerations such as large data volumes, allocation limits, and data migration.
• Knowledge of software design principles.
• Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write/maintain test classes for all custom development.
• Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
• Strong knowledge of the SFDC Data Model across various clouds/products and significant data modeling experience.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years' experience in Information Technology.
• 7+ years' experience in a technical role such as security, network, systems, or software engineering.
• 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I.
• Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
