About the position

The Senior Salesforce Developer at DePaul University is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. This role involves leading a team, ensuring effective platform maintenance and optimization, streamlining business processes, enhancing customer engagement, and driving data-driven decision-making. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned with the university's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of custom Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages.
  • Design and implement complex Salesforce Flows to automate business processes, ensuring seamless integration with other Salesforce features and third-party applications.
  • Develop and configure Experience Cloud sites to enhance user engagement, customizing the user interface to meet the specific needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with educational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications, supporting the implementation of Salesforce for student information systems, alumni management, and other education-related functions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the use of Salesforce Flows, optimizing existing Flows for efficiency and scalability.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the professional development of the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Apex coding with significant experience in developing and maintaining custom Apex classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages.
  • Experienced with Salesforce Flows, capable of designing and implementing complex Flows to automate business processes.
  • Skilled in developing and configuring Experience Cloud sites to enhance user engagement.
  • Familiar with higher education processes and requirements is a plus.
  • Salesforce certified (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Administrator) with additional advanced certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Experience with Salesforce integration tools such as MuleSoft.
  • Familiarity with other Salesforce products and features like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud.
  • Proven leadership experience in technical projects or teams.
