The Senior Salesforce Developer at The Judge Group Inc. is a pivotal role based in Everett, Massachusetts, requiring a blend of technical expertise and collaborative skills. This position involves working closely with various stakeholders, including Project Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance teams, to create software deliverables and artifacts that meet the organization's standards and methodologies. As a senior member of the team, the developer is expected to propose improvements based on best practices in software development, ensuring that the solutions provided are not only functional but also efficient and scalable. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including the development of Lightning Web Components and integration platform support, which involves enhancements and bug fixes. The developer will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, rollout, and documentation creation. Regular participation in meetings to discuss current tasks and provide weekly status reports is also a key aspect of the job. Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of working on large-scale projects with diverse stakeholders. A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer is required, with a strong focus on developing new business requirements using various Salesforce technologies such as Lightning Web Components, Apex, and SOQL. The role also requires expertise in developing UI pages using the LWC framework and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs. In addition to technical skills, the Senior Salesforce Developer will mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and create and maintain technical documentation. A Platform Developer I Certification is mandatory for this role, and candidates with hands-on experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and familiarity with Agile methodologies will be preferred. Experience in the K-12 education sector and knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the client organization, Project Managers, Architect, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance to create software deliverables and artifacts.
  • Adhere to the organization's methodologies and standards, proposing improvements based on software development best practices.
  • Perform Lightning Web Component Development and provide integration platform development support, including enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, rollout, and documentation creation.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings to discuss current tasks and provide weekly status reports.
  • Handle development of new business requirements using Lightning Web Components, Lightning Flows, Apex Batches and Triggers, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other solutions.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware, and other integration tools.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including process documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers and the development team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
  • Proven record of accomplishment working on large-scale projects with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with programming languages such as SOQL, JavaScript, HTML, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and CSS.
  • Experience with Application Development & Configuration including Lightning App Builder, Flows, and Validation rules.
  • Expertise in developing UI pages using the LWC framework.
  • Experience with complex Salesforce API integration for applications on various platforms.
  • Implemented Async processing solutions with Platform events, Async Apex, Queueable Apex, CDC, Lightning Message Service, etc.
  • Extensive understanding of Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities) development and customization.
  • Platform Developer I Certification is a must.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD).
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with SFDC specific IDE and version control configurations (Github, BitBucket) for Salesforce development (VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX).
  • Experience with accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 compliance.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience related to K-12 education/curriculum standards would be a plus.
  • Experience with cloud solutions/technologies, specifically AWS, is also a plus.
