About the position

Precise Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team in Rockville, MD. This role is pivotal in supporting application development and maintenance for our clients' engagements and corporate endeavors. The Senior Salesforce Developer will collaborate closely with project teams to create and maintain both public and internal websites and applications. The position involves evaluating business requirements provided by system end users and business stakeholders, interpreting high-level requirements into detailed designs, and planning concepts using the information and materials provided. The responsibilities of this role encompass a wide range of activities including design, development, architecture, implementation, and support of end-to-end business applications within the Salesforce platform. The developer will utilize various programming languages, software programs, and technologies to deliver customized web solutions that support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals, all while adhering to best practices. In addition to development tasks, the Senior Salesforce Developer will oversee solution design and delivery, ensuring integration with existing architecture. The role requires creating customer workflows, troubleshooting application errors, and collaborating with product owners to translate business requirements into a long-term executable solution plan and roadmap. The developer will also maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to respond quickly to changing project requirements and customer objectives, innovating ways to meet mission goals successfully. Furthermore, the position includes providing system administration support for both internal and customer-facing Salesforce environments, particularly concerning customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflows. The developer will contribute hands-on development and support, including proof of concept and demos as needed, while maintaining knowledge of web languages such as APEX, JAVA, and Python. The role also involves working with IT leadership to ensure solutions align with the future IT roadmap and providing technical guidance to other developers as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop customized web solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements and company goals, following best practices.
• Oversee solutions design and delivery, including integration with existing architecture.
• Creating customer workflows.
• Troubleshooting application errors.
• Collaborate with Product owners on translating business requirements and operational strategy into a long-term, executable solution plan and roadmap.
• Experience with estimating and sizing SalesForce business requirements.
• Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully.
• Provide system administration support for internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow.
• Able to contribute hands-on development and support, Proof of Concept and demos as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of web languages including APEX, JAVA, and Python.
• Work with IT Leadership to keep solutions in alignment with the future IT roadmap.
• Provide technical guidance to other developers as and when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science.
• Minimum work experience: eight years of software development and four years of Salesforce application development.
• Technical proficiency with the Salesforce platform along with general software development experience.
• Proficient with Apex, VisualForce, Native, MySQL and JavaScript.
• Experience developing customer-facing user interfaces.
• Experience with integrations with external systems.
• Self-motivated and creative.
• Knowledge of web coding including HTML and CSS.
• Strong Written and Oral Communications skills.
