About the position

The Senior Salesforce Engineer at AWS Analytics and Data Solutions (ADS) is responsible for supporting the Global Infrastructure teams by developing, maintaining, configuring, and reporting on Salesforce applications. This role involves leading multiple technical projects, driving process automation, and managing integrations with various business systems. The engineer will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure high standards of safety and security while providing scalable and maintainable solutions on the Force.com platform.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple user groups and global teams requiring Salesforce development and support.
  • Lead multiple technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce applications, including configuration, reporting, and training.
  • Drive automation of processes and develop new applications within the Salesforce environment.
  • Manage integrations with other Amazon databases and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Produce regular reporting needed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
  • 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • 4+ years of systems development experience in an IT or data center environment.
  • 4+ years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
  • Experience leading the design, build, and deployment of complex and performant software solutions in production.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of experience with development/programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash, or Perl.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience in taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure successfully delivered to customers.
