About the position

The Senior Salesforce Solutions Architect at Gusto will be instrumental in transforming and optimizing revenue and customer support processes within the Salesforce ecosystem. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce, with a focus on designing and implementing effective solutions that align with industry best practices. The architect will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions meet business needs and comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions incorporating industry best practices and Salesforce capabilities.
• Create comprehensive architectural diagrams, process flows, and solution documentation.
• Provide expert guidance to development teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of technologies and tools that complement the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Oversee the development of technical specifications and ensure adherence to design principles.
• Define data migration strategies and oversee data cleansing and transformation efforts.
• Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, and flows to support requirements.
• Monitor system performance and collaborate with technical teams to implement optimizations.
• Ensure that proposed solutions comply with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Present technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to junior admins and development teams.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance team members' understanding of Salesforce best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect credentials.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect, focusing on Service Cloud and Sales Cloud.
• Strong understanding of support and professional service processes, including lead management and opportunity tracking.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
