About the position

The Senior Salesperson within FICCOR will play a pivotal role in the MARK division, focusing on maximizing client penetration and returns. This position requires building and maintaining positive client relations at all levels, achieved through a deep and comprehensive understanding of client needs and aligning our products and services accordingly. The Senior Salesperson will be responsible for increasing our client reach on USTs and Agencies, covering Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund clients for Fixed Income Funding, and growing our Corporate Credit and Structured Credit portfolios. Collaboration with the PSC sales team to cross-sell products is essential, as is the ability to anticipate changes in client needs and provide strategic and creative solutions. In addition to client management, the Senior Salesperson will provide comprehensive account coverage and client development, actively prospecting new clients to increase revenue where possible. This role involves managing client relationships and being accountable for the risk and revenue associated with the client base. The Senior Salesperson will perform data-driven analytics to recommend the best risk management strategies and coordinate client pricing requests with various teams at Societe Generale, including Trading, Engineering, and Middle Office. Monitoring the pipeline and reporting for the team is also a key responsibility, ensuring that profit is maximized while prudently minimizing the bank's exposure and adhering to regulatory statutes. The role requires developing client-focused solutions based on financial expertise and awareness of organizational, technical, regulatory, and environmental factors. The Senior Salesperson will respond to inquiries from clients and regulatory agencies in a professional manner, ensuring that all trade confirmations are accurate and delivered promptly. Strong market knowledge is necessary to provide comprehensive risk management solutions, develop new solutions, and construct compelling recommendations. The position also involves cultivating strong relationships with SG research and strategy teams to accurately present the Bank's outlook on rates and currency markets, assisting colleagues in resolving administrative and operational issues, and ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reviewed frequently. The Senior Salesperson must balance the Bank's risk appetite with client needs when making recommendations and proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a key member of the US sales team to maximize client penetration and returns.
  • Build positive client relations through a comprehensive understanding of client needs and alignment of products/services.
  • Increase client reach on USTs/Agencies.
  • Cover Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund clients for Fixed Income Funding.
  • Grow Corporate Credit and Structured Credit portfolios.
  • Work with PSC sales team to cross-sell products.
  • Anticipate changes in client needs and provide strategic/creative solutions.
  • Provide comprehensive account coverage and client development, actively prospecting new clients to increase revenue.

  • Verify that all trade confirmations are accurate and delivered promptly.
  • Develop strong market knowledge to provide comprehensive risk management solutions and construct compelling recommendations.
  • Develop marketing ideas and help initiate transactions through appropriate presentation of financial data.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with SG research & Strategy teams to present the Bank's outlook on rates & currency markets.
  • Assist colleagues in the research and resolution of administrative/operational issues.
  • Understand the complexity of transactions and related risks (credit, market, operational, legal/compliance, etc.).
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and frequently reviewed for accuracy.
  • Operate within credit limits to manage the Bank's exposure prudently.
  • Balance the Bank's risk appetite with client needs in making recommendations/proposals.
