About the position

The Senior SAP ABAP Developer with API Integration Experience at STG is responsible for analyzing business requirements and translating them into efficient ABAP code. This role involves developing and modifying ABAP programs, integrating APIs using Product Integration middleware, and ensuring code quality through unit testing. The position requires collaboration with business analysts and other developers to deliver effective solutions and document all development activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient and maintainable ABAP code.
• Develop new custom or modify ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and workflows to automate business processes.
• Integrate APIs using Product Integration (PI) middleware with SAP systems.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Integrate custom developments with standard SAP functionality.
• Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Document all development activities and system configurations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
• Proven experience in developing complex and robust ABAP programs using various ABAP objects (e.g., function modules, classes, reports).
• Solid understanding of SAP data structures and ABAP debugging techniques.
• Integration experience with SOAP Webservices API between SAP and Web portal application using Product Integration (PI) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SOAP Webservices, API and WSDL.
• Experience with SAP interfaces (e.g., BAPI, RFC) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP BASIS administration tasks, including user management, system configuration, and performance monitoring.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
