Project Kuiper is an initiative aimed at enhancing global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission of Project Kuiper is to provide fast and affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, thereby helping to close the digital divide. This initiative will cater to a diverse range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations that operate in areas lacking reliable connectivity. As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Kuiper Enterprise Technology, you will play a pivotal role in managing multiple projects within the Kuiper enterprise applications suite of SAP systems. Your responsibilities will include anticipating potential bottlenecks, making informed trade-offs, and balancing business needs with technical constraints. A comprehensive understanding of the overall project design, along with the ability to foresee and plan for dependencies, is essential. You will be tasked with breaking down large, complex projects into manageable components and ensuring timely delivery of results. In your daily activities, you will engage with various stakeholders, including PMT, business stakeholders, and super users, to understand business requirements. Collaborating with engineering teams, such as SAP developers, functional designers, process designers, and security personnel, will be crucial to gauge the effort required for project execution. You will be responsible for building project plans and sprint schedules that align with the engineering team's bandwidth, managing dependencies both within and outside the team to ensure timely responses, and unblocking any obstacles that may hinder progress. Additionally, you will identify and escalate risks, manage issue resolution, and implement project management best practices. Establishing the right processes and aligning them with existing workflows will be key to delivering results. Building trust with the engineering team, stakeholders, and leadership will be vital, as will setting up tools like Jira for project tracking and sprint cadence management.
