About the position
The Senior Scientist, Analytical Method Development will play a crucial role in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, focusing on the analysis of finished goods and raw materials. This position involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and guidelines while managing multiple projects and mentoring junior chemists.
Responsibilities
- Analyze finished goods and raw materials using HPLC, FTIR, and titration methods, ensuring adherence to data integrity guidelines.
- Qualify raw materials through compendial testing and validate or verify analytical methods according to ICH, FDA, and cUSP standards, including protocol authorship and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects by accurately projecting timelines and interfacing with contract labs for QC sample handling.
- Evaluate test results alongside technical documentation and contribute to the preparation and review of SOPs and stability study reports.
- Mentor QC chemists and assist in their training and development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical experience, including expertise in testing finished products, raw materials, and analytical method validation and transfer.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
