The Senior Scientist, Cellular Resilience position at AstraZeneca involves driving drug discovery projects through the development and analysis of in vitro experiments. Responsibilities

• Develop, conduct, and analyze in vitro experiments to assess candidate drugs.
• Support cross-functional teams and collaborate to ensure timely generation of critical program data.
• Review emerging literature and internal data to identify new potential targets.
• Contribute to target validation activities.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field with 0-3 years' experience in in vitro model development, or MS with 3-5 years' experience, or BS with 5-8 years' experience in developing novel in vitro cellular and molecular models.
• Demonstrated ability to model complex biological axes in vitro.
• Experience with genome editing techniques and epigenetics.
• Strong background in cellular function assays, including cell viability analysis and flow cytometry.
• Ability to independently design and execute research plans and analyze experimental results rapidly.
• Proven track record of success in research and experience preparing scientific reports and presentations.
