About the position

The Senior Scientist position in the Discovery Oncology group is a lab-based role focused on developing cancer therapeutics. The candidate will lead and support research projects, requiring strong scientific knowledge and technical skills. The role emphasizes independent work as well as collaboration within a team, with responsibilities including assay development, experiment execution, data analysis, and project decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize assays for cancer research.
• Design and execute well-controlled experiments.
• Analyze data and interpret results to drive project decisions.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during experiments.
• Present progress updates at internal team and departmental meetings.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience, Master's degree with 4+ years, or Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer biology, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience developing research projects, demonstrated by publications, presentations, or work in the industry.
• Proficiency in cell culture and cell-based assays, including handling primary human cells and tissues.
• Experience with multi-color flow cytometry, cell viability assays, cell line engineering, ELISA, western blot, and qRT-PCR.
• Strong data analysis skills with knowledge of statistical concepts and software such as GraphPad Prism and FlowJo.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical expertise in cell sorting and in vivo tumor implantation.
• Experience with omics data analysis.
• Prior oncology research experience.
