About the position

The Senior Scientist II, NA Ventures, R&D - Tate's at Mondelēz International is responsible for leading research and development activities for new snack food products. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing technical projects to ensure successful product development and portfolio management, with a focus on delivering an exceptional consumer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D activities for new snack food product development and portfolio maintenance.
• Plan, lead, and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D marketing and manufacturing requirements.
• Communicate project status and risks effectively to stakeholders.
• Plan and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements.
• Conduct product shelf-life testing and prepare consumer tests.
• Create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and influence decisions based on analysis and interpretation of results.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 or more years of experience in a Product Development or technical R&D role.
• Experience in ingredients, nutrition, product formulations, and technical knowledge in the snack food industry.
• Ability to identify complex technical or business problems and implement solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Formula/product development expertise in Biscuit is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of equipment design and manufacturing processes.
