About the position

The Senior Scientist II, NA Ventures, R&D - Tate's at Mondelez International is responsible for leading research and development activities for new snack food products. This role involves coordinating technical projects, managing product development, and ensuring alignment with marketing and manufacturing requirements to enhance consumer experience. The position requires strong leadership in product innovation and strategic planning to support the company's Vision 2030 goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D activities for new snack food product development and maintain existing portfolios.
• Plan, lead, and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D marketing and manufacturing requirements.
• Communicate project status and risks effectively to stakeholders.
• Coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements.
• Conduct product shelf-life testing and prepare consumer tests.
• Use digital simulation models to interpret consumer insights and commercial information.
• Create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and influence decisions based on analysis results.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 or more years of experience in a Product Development or technical R&D role.
• Experience in influencing cross-functional teams in the snack food industry.
• Proven ability to identify and solve complex technical or business problems.
• Technical curiosity and knowledge to evaluate breakthrough technologies and novel ingredients.
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Formula/product development expertise in Biscuit is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of equipment design and manufacturing processes.
