First American Trust is seeking a motivated Senior Scrum Master with 5-7 years of experience to facilitate scrum ceremonies, coach and mentor team members, help Product Owners manage their backlog, and assist in release planning. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will drive effective scrum ceremonies including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will track and distribute relevant metrics and report periodically to show team progress and velocity. Your role will involve identifying, understanding, and tracking impediments, helping to remove them, and driving improvements to optimize how the team works. Additionally, you will help the Product Owner manage customer expectations and stakeholder communications, acting as a liaison between the team and everyone else to minimize interruptions to the sprint, keeping the team focused on delivering a quality product on time. You will be responsible for building a safe and trusting team environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, with an emphasis on problem-solving. You will represent the team in the Scrum of Scrum and the ART Sync, helping the team prepare for PI Planning and guiding them during the event to complete all of their tasks. Demonstrating a growth mindset, you will coach the team and Product Owner on how to improve their practices to excel at scale. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related fields, along with a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and experience training and managing Scrum teams.
