About the position

The Senior Scrum Master at NextEra Energy will act as a primary IT liaison to the Accounting organization, ensuring the success of IT projects across four Agile teams. This role involves overseeing the release train for key initiatives, managing projects within the Agile framework, and ensuring project budgets are adhered to for program success. The position requires strong leadership in facilitating Scrum ceremonies and promoting collaboration and transparency among teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Release Train Engineer for Accounting teams.
• Coordinate with Scrum Masters for Accounting teams and RTEs for FP&A and ISC trains.
• Conduct PI pre-planning for Accounting teams and facilitate consolidated PI planning for all ITECA teams.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track and publish completed program initiatives, epics, and business value metrics following Agile methodology.
• Own the planning, estimation, design, configuration, testing, and production release on financial projects.
• Interact with business leadership and key stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize work.
• Coach teams towards self-organization and continuous improvement.
• Promote collaboration and build trusting relationships between business and delivery teams.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in a related field
