About the position

Altamira Technologies is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join our world-class engineering team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will be part of a small, highly-focused team dedicated to developing and maintaining signal-processing applications for use in a real-time operational environment. The team comprises multi-disciplined professionals who contribute across all phases of systems engineering, software development, integration and testing, and metrics. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn new skills to tackle tomorrow's challenges. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will act as a facilitator for the development team, ensuring that Agile principles are adhered to and that the team is functioning effectively. You will have a direct impact on critical operational capabilities and will gain experience with the full software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, delivery, and maintenance. Additionally, you will be responsible for modernizing cloud development practices and utilizing Agile processes to enhance team performance and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Scrum Master for the development team.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to Scrum principles.
  • Support the team in achieving their goals and removing impediments.
  • Gain experience with the full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Modernize cloud development practices and utilize Agile processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience with cloud-based software architecture and technologies.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and practices.
  • Experience with the Atlassian toolset.
  • Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Go and Python.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant software development experience.
  • Experience with all aspects of software design, implementation, and testing is required.
  • Five or more years of practical experience with multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, C++.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with GitLab pipeline preferred.
  • Experience in SIGINT or signal processing.
  • Understanding of software engineering processes and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile development methods.
