About the position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Scrum Master in our Chantilly, VA office to support an Intelligence Community (IC) customer as part of a highly talented, motivated, and high-performing team. This role is crucial in supporting an exciting program that focuses on the development, delivery, and maintenance of solutions for the customer's data engineering office. The Senior Scrum Master will act as a liaison between the product owner, operations and maintenance (O&M) team, cross-functional teams, and management to ensure that all targets and requirements are included in the release. In this position, you will coach the team on how to self-organize and plan work into enabling features and stories along program increments and sprints. You will be responsible for removing individual and team impediments and guiding the team to overcome these challenges. Additionally, you will outline and prioritize work based on program initiatives and business value, coordinating and monitoring the Scrum process from initiation through delivery to ensure that releases are developed by the deadline and within budget. Maintaining the product backlog is a key responsibility, as is facilitating productivity by removing impediments, resolving conflicts, and constantly seeking efficient and effective process improvements. You will need to preserve flexibility and the ability to rapidly respond to changes while ensuring process standardization of all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning Meetings, Daily Stand-up Meetings, Reviews, and Retrospectives. Collaboration with other Scrum Masters within the program to share knowledge and best practices is also essential. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching technical teams basic to advanced Agile concepts, including Epic and User Story creation, Scrum, best practices, and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies, as well as experience with ServiceNow and/or JIRA ticketing systems. A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS SCI) clearance with polygraph is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; 10 years in lieu of degree.
  • Experience as Scrum Master with in-depth knowledge of delivering projects/tasks to the Customer.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and/or JIRA Ticketing systems.
  • TS SCI with poly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with creating dashboards and/or metrics with Jira/Confluence.
  • Knowledge of AWS or AWS GovCloud & native AWS administrative tools and dashboards.
  • Experience with scrum project management, agile software development, and software version control management.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cloud computing service including enterprise architecture, application planning, and deployment.
  • Experience with providing data driven metrics at customer and stakeholder engagements that lead to solution driven development and completion of tasks.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring teams.
  • Experience aligning multiple teams with different agile methodologies to ensure a quality software product and customer satisfaction.
