About the position
The Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) position at Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is a contract role focused on ensuring the quality of software products for a premier regulatory client. This fully remote position requires a strong background in software testing and development, particularly in automated testing frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and automated tests, contributing to the overall quality assurance process.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a test plan for software products.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Extend existing testing frameworks to improve testing capabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively in a remote environment to coordinate testing efforts.
Requirements
- Fluent in SQL and database concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Java for testing and coding.
- Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and Angular.
- Foundational knowledge of testing principles.
- Strong communication skills, especially in a remote setting.
- 8+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a lead role as the main point of contact for multiple projects.
- Familiarity with AWS console and AWS CLI tools.
- Experience in performance testing.
- Some experience with Playwright.
