About the position

The Senior Sealed System Engineer at Acumed LLC is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of cooling system engineering solutions for refrigeration products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, leveraging technical strategies, and leading projects to enhance product innovation and growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in project teams focused on New Product Development, Continuous Product Improvement, or Feature Innovation.
• Design, test, and review refrigeration-based sealed systems across all product lines as a functional expert.
• Utilize 8D methodology to identify root causes of issues and oversee the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
• Conduct mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable cooling systems.
• Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools.
• Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions.
• Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met.
• Stay updated with advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in cooling systems and refrigerated product designs.
• Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role.
• Experience with ice maker refrigeration design and system balancing.
• Knowledge of flammable, low-GWP refrigerants and control system safety.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles related to sealed systems and cooling methods.
• Proficiency in thermal simulation software.
• Ability to plan and oversee laboratory testing with a hands-on approach to prototype development.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to convey technical information clearly.
