As a Senior Security Engineer - Data Protection at Fiserv, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the security posture of our organization by deploying advanced Data Protection security controls across a large enterprise. Your responsibilities will include performing risk analysis, making configuration changes, and tuning policies to optimize security measures. You will collaborate with various cross-functional teams, both within and outside of the Cybersecurity department, to ensure the effective deployment and integration of new security solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in improving the resiliency and functionality of existing capabilities, ultimately reducing data loss and mitigating risks to the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Fiserv's technical infrastructure, which encompasses network, hardware, database, and system software components. You will leverage various tools and custom applications to monitor and optimize performance, ensuring that our systems are robust and secure. Additionally, you will be involved in routine upgrades and application support, as well as conducting root cause analyses and post-mortem evaluations following security incidents and service interruptions. Your day-to-day activities will include researching and designing optimal infrastructure, network, database, and security architectures for our products. You will proactively create and maintain monitoring tools and participate in project planning and reporting across multiple initiatives. Automation will be a key focus, as you will design and implement scripts, tools, and documentation that facilitate self-service for product teams and end users. Furthermore, you will drive root cause analysis and debugging efforts, ensuring that our systems remain operationally stable and secure. Partnering with Security teams, you will contribute to strengthening our overall security posture through engineering activities and operational outputs.
