About the position

As a Data Security Engineer, you will serve as a pivotal Engineering Analyst responsible for safeguarding the security and integrity of our organization's digital assets. Your role will involve providing technical expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA and other relevant data protection laws. You will be tasked with implementing data security practices that protect sensitive data exchanges and mitigate the risk of data breaches. This includes securely integrating data between various solutions, both on-premise and in public cloud environments. In this position, you will classify data based on its sensitivity and maintain guidelines for handling each type of data appropriately. You will also be responsible for configuring and maintaining large data tools, such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) applications, and optimizing alerts across various data platforms. Assessing data quality will be a key responsibility, where you will evaluate the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of data. Monitoring data usage and protection measures will be essential to ensure compliance with relevant laws, standards, and policies. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to establish data standards and ensure adherence to data policies through a compliance-centric approach. Additionally, you will educate staff on security best practices and compliance requirements, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements
