About the position

The Senior Segment Marketing Manager, Cooperatives is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies aimed at driving sales success for broadband service provider customers, particularly Electric and Telephone Cooperatives. This role involves crafting messaging, positioning, and lead generation campaigns while providing marketing support for strategic customer opportunities. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including representing Calix solutions at customer meetings and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop market positioning and messaging that highlights Calix' differentiated value.
  • Communicate the segment marketing message and positioning to the sales team and develop segment content that supports the selling process for Calix solutions.
  • Be the expert on buyers, their buying criteria, and competition.
  • Develop the strategy and manage marketing programs that drive demand for the market segment in collaboration with the Demand Generation team.
  • Evangelize the Calix solution and its benefits.
  • Develop effective digital marketing strategies and plans.
  • Champion the Calix brand and boost demand of solutions at segment-specific events and through digital marketing.
  • Develop customized content and present at customer meetings and industry events.
  • Author original digital and social media content including blogs, social posts, web collateral, solution briefs, and white papers.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of industry experience in the broadband/telecom space.
  • 10+ years marketing to broadband service providers with at least 5+ years' experience in a field-facing role.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with very strong written communication skills including technical marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience in access broadband and managed wi-fi spaces.
  • Experience working with or marketing to Electric Cooperatives and Telephone Cooperatives.
