About the position
The Senior Selenium Automation Tester will be responsible for leading automation testing efforts in a .NET environment, ensuring the quality and stability of software applications. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium, as well as validating backend operations through SQL queries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation testing and will collaborate with various teams to define testing strategies and scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium in a .NET environment.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to define test scenarios and strategies.
- Execute test plans and analyze test results to ensure functionality and quality.
- Perform backend validation using SQL queries to ensure data integrity.
- Track, report, and prioritize defects, working closely with developers for resolution.
- Provide detailed documentation of test cases, execution results, and system logs.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and test automation framework improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Selenium automation testing.
- Proficiency in writing automation scripts for web applications in a .NET environment.
- Mid-level proficiency in MS SQL for backend data validation and queries.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as NUnit or similar.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must have resided in the USA for the past 3 years for public trust clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with API testing (Postman, SoapUI, etc.).
- Knowledge of healthcare domain standards or experience with government agencies.
